Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains your rights and options when cancelling your classroom.guru subscription and when you may be eligible for a refund. Please read this policy carefully before subscribing.


2. Subscription Cancellation

2.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Visiting your Account Dashboard and navigating to Billing > Cancel Subscription, or
  • Contacting our support team at support@classroom.guru.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to the Platform until that date.

2.2 What Happens After Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will not renew at the next billing date.
  • You will retain access to the Platform until the end of your paid period.
  • Your account and data will be retained for 90 days after cancellation, after which they may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • You may reactivate your account during the 90-day grace period without loss of data.

3. Refunds

3.1 General Policy

As classroom.guru provides access to a digital service upon payment, all subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has commenced. We encourage you to make use of any free trial period before subscribing.

3.2 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (New Subscribers)

New subscribers are eligible for a full refund if they request one within 7 days of their first payment, provided:

  • This is your first subscription to classroom.guru.
  • You have not previously received a refund under this guarantee.
  • The request is made before the end of the 7-day period.

To request a refund under this guarantee, contact support@classroom.guru with the subject line "Refund Request – 7-Day Guarantee".

Refunds may not be granted based on excessive use or in cases where breaches of the acceptable use policy are found.

3.3 Exceptional Circumstances

Outside the 7-day guarantee, we may consider refunds at our discretion in the following situations:

  • Significant service outage: If the Platform experienced a documented outage or critical failure lasting more than 72 continuous hours during your paid period, you may be eligible for a pro-rated credit or partial refund.
  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once in error for the same billing period.
  • Billing error: If a charge was made in error due to a system fault on our end.

Refund requests for exceptional circumstances must be submitted within 30 days of the charge in question.

3.4 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Failure to cancel before an automatic renewal date.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI outputs (as these are inherently variable in nature).
  • Partial use of a billing period.
  • Accounts suspended or terminated due to violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Charges for additional add-ons or one-time purchases, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

4. Annual Subscriptions

If you are on an annual plan:

  • You are eligible for a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first annual payment.
  • After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term.
  • You may cancel an annual subscription to prevent renewal, but no partial refund will be issued for unused months.

5. Free Trials

If a free trial is available, no payment is taken until the trial period ends. You may cancel during the trial period at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your nominated payment method will be charged at the applicable subscription rate.


6. Subscription Downgrades

If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan mid-cycle:

  • The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
  • No refund or credit is issued for the difference in the current billing period.

7. Processing Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.


8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable consumer protection legislation. If the Services have a major failure, you may be entitled to a remedy under the ACL regardless of the limitations set out in this policy.
